Primitive Raggedy Ann Doll
Simple little Raggedy Ann doll, which measures 17 inches.
She is made from stained muslin, and has acrylic painted eyes, and her nose and mouth are done in pencil water colors. I wanted them to look a little faded, so I used a light touch with the pencils while dry. Her cheeks have been lightly blushed, and her hair is red sheep wool, which has been needle felted into place. A simple red and white bow made from the ticking is sewn onto her head.
She is dressed in a lightly stained red and white ticking dress, with a gathered neckline, 3/4 sleeves, and a red and white polka dot apron, which has a vintage piece of red/white/black ribbon around the top. It closes in back with a sewn on vintage black button. Her bloomers are lightly stained muslin, and are gathered at the waist and legs. I hand sewed knees, so her legs have a little bend to them.
I wanted to give her a whimsical look, so I made her arms and legs long and skinny. Her hands have been sewn together, and a small stained teddy bear rests in them.
Her long skinny feet are painted with black acrylic and then sanded.
She comes signed and dated - it's on her bottom under her bloomers.
Perfect for your Raggedy Ann collection, or just to tuck in with your other prims on a doll bench or shelf.
