Elzada: Black Folk Art Doll!

A beautiful grungy doll with soulful eyes. Stained and grubbied up. Tulip has a particularly lovable feel and look about her. Her face is needle sculpted and hand painted.

Her dress is made of two shades of burgundy quilters cotton. Her pantaloons are muslin. She has hair made of wool blend yarn.

She has needle sculpted fingers and toes.

She will stand if propped, but sits well on her own. She is 22" tall standing and 13" tall when seated.

Adapted from the Jorja pattern by Stella Whittingham of Dolls on Parade.

Pink Lady Tea Cup Mohair Pinkeep

I found this most darling tea cup at an antique auction in Sanford, NC. She had two tiny chips out of the base, but otherwise, she's gorgeous. She has gray hair, pink handle and the prettiest red lips.

I used a piece of fuzzy vintage pink mohair for the pincushion part. It is stuffed with raw wool. The lanolin is very good for your pins and needles. Because the raw wool and the mohair attract moths, I added a fresh cedar ball to the bottom of the cup as a deterrent. I've also added three old stick pins and three old buttons to the top. Around her neck, I added a tiny piece of lace and a tiny pink rick rack.
