The story goes that the Christmas Pickle is a German tradition, but it's virtually unheard of in Germany... So we'll say it's an American tradition. But why put a pickle on your tree? Because you can! As the story goes the pickle was the last ornament placed on the Christmas Tree. On the day the gifts were opened the child that found the pickle ornament was given another special gift. Another version says that the adult who finds it will have wealth in the year to follow. That's good enough for me.

This fabric pickle is perfect to add to a primitive or country tree. It is about the size of a real dill pickle, about 5 inches long and about and inch wide. Each one is hand painted to resemble a real pickle with just a hint of green German glass glitter added to add a punch of sparkle. I've added a loop of jute for hanging. This santa is just hangin' 'round waiting for you to buy him. He is made of heavy muslin, with chenille beard and a red ticking hat. I've added a big ole really rusty bell to the tip of his hat and a really really rusty pin and bell to the cuff of his hat. His beard and hat brim are lightly dusted with German glass glitter for just a hint of shine.

Santa is about 4 inches wide and a foot long not counting his really rusted wire wreath for hanging. His loop is made to fit over a standard door knob or hang him from your favorite peg rack.

These forever snowballs are wrapped in cheesecloth and coated in German Glass Glitter for a shimmering addition to your winter decor. You will get a set of six 3" snowballs per set, order as many as you'd like. Those pictured are bright white but these can also be grunged up for a more primitive old look on request. Of course, greenery and bowl are not included.

This is one of my favorite creations ever. This is a black velvet Santa glove with white feather boa trim. It is the size of an actual man's large or extra large glove. 9" long and about 6" across. I show it here, sitting in my year round tree, but it was designed to sit on a shelf or coffee table.
